All three scripts share three features: AI identity is stated in the opening line, the business is named, and an opt-out or transfer path is available. The outbound version is deliberately more explicit because unsolicited outbound calls carry higher transparency expectations under EU law.

  • What data does the agent process? Confirm whether audio recordings, transcripts, or caller metadata are stored — and where. EU-based infrastructure or an appropriate third-country transfer mechanism is required.
  • Is there a clear escalation path to a human? Every compliant voice agent needs a functional handoff. "Press 0 for a team member" works. No exit path does not.
  • Are callers notified about recording before it starts? The notice must be verbal and must come before recording begins — not after.
  • How does the agent handle sensitive requests? Health, financial, or legal queries should trigger an immediate handoff to a human, not an attempted automated response.
